Frequently Asked Questions
The Movement
How did FullMoonRunning start?
It was born from a simple experience: going for a run on a full moon night and feeling a different connection. The question was: "How many runners are sharing this same moon with me right now?"
Over time, thousands of runners from more than 40 countries have joined this idea.
Who is the CEO of FullMoonRunning?
The full moon.
How do I join the movement?
Create your profile at www.fullmoonrunning.com and subscribe to a plan to activate your bib. From there, every full moon you can run from wherever you want, join an FMR Meetup or create your own.
Why is the "FMR Bib" unique?
No two are the same in the world. It's your identification within the movement and community. You can customize it with your unique number as a Full Moon Runner and with your country's flag.
Is FMR a race? Are there mandatory times or distances?
No. Full Moon Running is not an official race. There's no timer or fixed distance: you choose how to live each full moon. We are all winners.
Former Full Moon Runners
How do I activate my old Full Moon Running bib?
FMR Meetups
How do I join an FMR Meetup?
Go to the map, search for meetups near you and join with a click. Remember, you need to have an active subscription for your bib to be valid.
How do I create my own FMR Meetup?
It's very easy. Create a meetup, define the location on the map, choose the start time and design the route. Save it so it's recorded and published so you can invite your friends and other runners in the area can discover it and sign up.
What is my role if I organize an FMR Meetup?
You are the meetup guide and FMR ambassador: you know the route, propose the pace, decide on stops (photos included) and help everyone enjoy and want to come back.
Do FMR meetups have a participant limit?
Yes. 25 participants, so it's manageable and everyone can enjoy safely.
Is it safe? What responsibility do I have when participating?
FMR Meetups are not official races (no start or finish arch, no aid stations). Each participant is responsible for running according to their level and bringing what's necessary (phone, headlamp if needed, appropriate clothing, etc.)
Can FMR help me design a route?
Yes. We've created a GPT assistant with the full moon that recommends routes based on your location, terrain and distance, and suggests points for photos with the full moon and strategic stops.
Can I sign up for more than one meetup on the same full moon?
No. To join another, you must first leave the previous one.
How do I invite my friends to my meetup?
From your meetup, use "Share" to send the link via WhatsApp, social media or email.
Can I join a meetup without being a member?
You can view them, but to sign up you need to be a Full Moon Runner and have an active bib.
